The University of Sydney invites candidates who are eligible to undertake a Postgraduate Research Degree or Master's by Research program at this University to apply for the University of Sydney International Research Scholarship (USydIS).
Objective:
The objective of the USydIS is to attract top quality international postgraduate students to undertake research projects which will enhance the University's research activities. The USydIS is open to all research disciplines, however participation in the USydIS program each semester is at the discretion of the Dean of each faculty. These scholarships will be awarded to eligible applicants twice a year – in October/November in conjunction with the International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS) for commencement in Semester 1 (March), and in early April for commencement in Semester 2 (July).

The Universität Bern offers six Excellence Grants for international students who wish to do a Master's programme beginning in autumn 2011/2012.
The grant consists of 1600 CHF per month for the duration of the Master's programme.
All Master’s programmes of the University of Bern are offered except “Biomedical Sciences”.
Application files will be examined by a selection committee. Criteria for selection are academic excellence and the candidate's potential and motivation.

The joint International Master in Rural Development (IMRD), part of the European Erasmus Mundus program, offers the opportunity to study the European vision on rural development in its diversity of approaches and applications, on a scholarship provided by the European Union (as of 2010-2011 also for European students).
The objective is to train specialists in integrated rural development, focussed on socio-economic and institutional aspects, not only from the European Union but also from developed, developing and transition countries outside the European Union through a 2 year master program (120 ECTS) jointly organised by seven European leading institutes in agricultural economics and rural development.

We propose an integrated two-year world-class Masters Course in Sustainable Forest and Nature Management (SUFONAMA). The overall objective is to provide a top-level programme that qualifies graduates to deal with the huge challenges in Europe’s pursuit of an evermore sustainable management of her natural resources, namely, that the management of forests and nature areas must be seen in an integrated landscape context. To obtain the SUFONAMA double degree and the Diploma Supplement, students have to acquire 120 ECTS credits by studying at two Consortium institutions, acquiring at least 60 ECTS credits at each. All SUFONAMA modular activities are completed in English. Due to the one-year Course components, SUFONAMA encourages its student body to engange in local language studies available at all the partner institutions.
