Lund University Global Scholarships

The Lund University Global Scholarship programme is targeted at top academic students from countries outside the European Union/European Economic Area (and Switzerland).
Scholarships cover 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% of the tuition fees. The scholarship value is deducted from the tuition fees of the programme or free-standing course for which you are awarded a scholarship. Please note that the Lund University Global Scholarships do not cover living costs.

Who is eligible?

Students who have applied for Bachelor’s or Master’s level studies at Lund University for a minimum of one semester of study (the equivalent of 30 ECTS full-time study) and who are required to pay tuition fees.  
This scholarship programme is not open for students from the following 12 countries: Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia. Students from these countries should apply for the Swedish Institute Study Scholarship.

How to apply

To apply for a Lund University Global Scholarship, you must first apply for the programme(s) or free-standing course(s) you wish to study at Lund University using the online, national application website, studera.nu. You can then apply for a Lund University Global Scholarship using our online application form
Once you have completed the online scholarship application, you post a printed and signed copy of the completed application form, your CV and motivation letter together with your programme/course application supporting documents. These are posted in the single envelope to University Studies in Sweden, FE 1 SE-833 83 Stroemsund, Sweden. Please note, if you have already posted your programme/course application documents, it is possible for you to post your scholarship application documents separately, however you will need to include a cover note with your full name and your studera.nu identification number.
You can only apply for one scholarship per programme or free-standing course. If you are applying for more than one programme or free-standing course at Lund University, you must make a separate scholarship application for each programme/course to which you have applied.

Selection process

The selection process for scholarships is undertaken in parallel with the programme/course selection process. Priority will be given to students with high academic performance and who demonstrate a strong commitment and desire to study at Lund University.

EVAN LEWIS-THOMAS LAW STUDENTSHIPS 2011-12

The Council of Sidney Sussex College offers annually, for men and women of any nationality, a number of Evan Lewis-Thomas Law Studentships for research or advanced courses in Law or cognate subjects in the University of Cambridge. The Evan Lewis-Thomas Law Studentships, which are subject to reviews of diligence and progress, are tenable for one year in the first instance but may be renewed annually, up to a maximum of three years. Their value depends on the candidate's needs in the light of support from other sources and on the availability of income from the Evan Lewis Thomas Fund.

Under the terms of the will of the late Judge Evan Lewis-Thomas, candidates must have shown proficiency in Law and Jurisprudence, normally by obtaining a university degree in Law by August 2010, and they must be or become candidates for the Ph.D. Degree, the Diploma in Legal Studies, the Diploma in International Law, the M.Phil. Degree (one-year course) in Criminology, or the LL.M Degree.

PhD scholarship in Mathematics Education. Ref. 75/10 [Norway]

The University of Agder invites applications for a full-time fixed-term appointment for a period of three years as PhD Research Fellow in Mathematics Education at the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Engineering and Science. The position is currently located in Kristiansand, Norway. The starting date, after January 1, 2011, is to be negotiated with the Faculty.

The Faculty of Engineering and Science presently has a scientific group in mathematics education, and history of mathematics, including six professors, four associate professors and two research assistants. There are approximately 20 PhD candidates registered on the PhD programme. Over recent years the group has been responsible for a number of large mathematics teaching developmental research projects funded by the Research Council of Norway and has been host institution of the Nordic Graduate School in Mathematics Education.

Financial Aid at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology

United States–South Pacific Scholarship Program

United States–South Pacific Scholarship Program

The United States–South Pacific Scholarship Program, authorized by the U.S. Congress and funded by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, is a competitive, merit-based scholarship program that provides opportunities for degree study at U.S. institutions of higher education. The scholarship program will include a summer internship in Washington, D.C. as well as a four- to five-week community service project in the student’s home country. Candidates from the following countries, who meet specific selection criteria, are eligible for the program: Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu. The U.S.–South Pacific Scholarship Program is administered by the East-West Center on behalf of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
Eligible fields of Study: Standard liberal arts curriculum and other selected fields, with priority given to agriculture, business*, computer science, education, environmental studies, journalism, political science, public administration, and related fields. If a proposed field of study is not among the priority fields, the applicant should give special attention to explaining how this course of study would support the goals of the program. Support is not available for professional degree programs such as medicine (M.D.), masters in business administration (MBA)*, or law (J.D.). *Business study is supported at the undergraduate level only.

Up to five (5) scholarships will be available for studies to begin in August 2011.
