Preference will be given to applicants who serve as faculty members of state and private institutions of higher education in Indonesia. Applicants will possess:
  • a Bachelor (S1) degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (4.00 scale)
  • leadership qualities
  • a good understanding of Indonesian and international cultures a
  • demonstrated commitment to the chosen field of study
  • a willingness to return to Indonesia upon completion of the Fulbright-DIKTI program

FULBRIGHT DOCTORAL DISSERTATION RESEARCH PROGRAM: 2011

This research grant is intended to provide U.S. research opportunities for Indonesian university doctoral candidates who are in the final stages of writing their dissertation. The grant duration is for a period of 3-6 months. The applicant should have a minimum institutional TOEFL score of  575 or IELTS 6.5. to participate in this program.

FULBRIGHT PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM (PH.D. PROGRAM): 2011

Preference will be given to applicants who serve or plan to serve as faculty members of state and private institutions of higher education in Indonesia and have not previously received any Fulbright scholarship.

Applicants will possess:

  • a Master's degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.00 scale).
  • demonstrated leadership qualities.
  • a good understanding of Indonesian and other cultures.
  • a deep commitment to the chosen field of study.
  • a determination to return to Indonesia upon completion of the Fulbright program and to take up academic positions in higher education upon their return.
  • a minimum institutional TOEFL score of 575 or IELTS score of 6.5
Note: Based on recent changes in U.S. institution requirements, the TOEFL requirement for this program has been changed. The new requirement is as follows: "Generally, the TOEFL requirement for PhD program is 575 and above. However, in certain fields a score of 550 and above will be considered."

Fulbright Postgraduate Student Awards for UK Citizen

The Commission is now accepting applications for this Award.

Each year up to 20 awards are offered to UK citizens for the first year of postgraduate or doctoral study, or for 'special student research', in any subject at any accredited US institution. Successful candidates will work with the Fulbright Commission and the Institute of International Education (IIE) to identify and apply to the university departments which offer the best academic fit for them.
The Commission also offers specific postgraduate-level awards for Journalism, an MBA at Harvard or a PhD in Science or Technology related fields.

Fulbright-British Friends of Harvard Business School MBA Awards for UK Citizen

The Commission is now accepting applications for this Award.

Each year approximately 3-5 awards are offered in conjunction with the British Friends of Harvard Business School, a registered charity, to UK citizens for the first year of an MBA at Harvard Business School. Applicants must gain acceptance from Harvard in admission round 1 or 2 before making an application to the Fulbright Commission.

Frank L. Greathouse Government Accounting Scholarship for US and Canada Citizens

The 2011 Frank L. Greathouse Government Accounting Scholarship of $5,000 is available for award to one or more undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in full-time study preparing for a career in state and local government finance. The winner, if one is selected, will be invited to attend the Government Finance Offcers Association of the United States and Canada’s (GFOA) annual conference in San Antonio, Texas, May 22-25, 2011, where the award will be presented. The GFOA will provide a complimentary annual conference registration and pay for transportation costs to San Antonio as well as hotel accommodations.

The Erasmus Mundus Programme in Flood Risk Management

Start date: September 2011
Duration: 24 Months
Locations: Delft (the Netherlands), Dresden (Germany), Barcelona (Spain) and Ljubljana (Slovenia)
Degree: Successful candidates receive MSc degrees from TU Dresden, UNESCO-IHE and UPC, Barcelona.

Integrated flood risk management aims to reduce the human and socio-economic losses caused by flooding while taking into account the social, economic and ecological benefits from floods and the use of flood plains or coastal zones. The need for the adoption of a holistic integrated approach to managing flood risks has been reflected in the Flood Directive of the European Parliament.

Scholarship program: Study in France

The French Government, through the embassy of France in Jakarta, has been providing excellent scholarships to Indonesian citizen for more than 30 years. In order to pursue its objective to improve Indonesian human resources, the embassy of France will offer scholarship  for the year 2011.
Those scholarships are given to government officials, lecturers, students, with a priority to those involved in a cooperation program between France and Indonesia, to undertake two kinds of training:

DPhil studentship on the Internet and Political Science at Oxford University

A 3-year DPhil studentship is available to support an OII doctoral student as part of a research programme on "The Internet, Political Science and Public Policy", commencing October 2011.
