Mastres Scholarship at University of Twente


Short description

The UT Scholarship is awarded by the Foundation University of Twente Scholarship Programme of the University of Twente. The UT Scholarship is meant for international students who show excellence, both academically as well as socially. The UT Scholarship is awarded for one year of study and is extended for a second year if study results are sufficient. Please note that you can only be nominated for the UT Scholarship after you have been (provisionally) accepted by the educational programme of your choice.

Requirements for application

·
The online application form for admission to the university has been completed and all certified documents have been received.
·
You have been (provisionally) accepted to a master programme at the University of Twente.
·
You are excellent, both academically as well as socially.
·
Sufficient mastery of the English language:
o
academic IELTS, overall band score of at least 6.5TOEFL, internet based (TOEFL-iBT) of at least 90
o
academic IELTS, speaking score of at least 6.0
TOEFL, internet based (TOEFL-iBT) of at least 20
·
Your faculty has nominated you for the UT Scholarship.
·
You are a national of a non EU/EEA country.
·
You show potential to become a future leader (of industry).
·
You are strongly committed to society.
·
The UT Scholarship is not meant for candidates who already have their Master degree

Deadline for application

You cannot apply for the UT Scholarship yourself. You can only be nominated by the faculty of the university for a UT Scholarship between October 2010 and May 2011.

Scholarship amount

The amount of the scholarship will be determined by the faculty with a maximum of €20,000. Please be aware that only a limited number of scholarships are available. Only the most excellent students will be nominated.

MBA Program by UNU Fellowship

East-West Center Affiliate Scholar Program

An opportunity for graduate students from universities and institutions from all countries to have a short-term affiliation with the EWC while working on research for a thesis or dissertation related to the Asia Pacific region.
Type of study: Intensive research for one semester to one year; participation in EWC programs focused on creating an Asia Pacific community through research, dialogue, educational and cultural activities.
Eligibility: Graduate students from universities world-wide, to work on research for a thesis or dissertation. Priority given to graduate students with research interests in the Asia Pacific region.
Provisions: Research library access, and discounted housing rate in EWC graduate residence halls.

Who can apply?
Eligible candidates:

  • Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand.
  • Have met the University's academic and English requirements for the course to be considered for a scholarship (must hold a FULL OFFER by the application deadline).

Ford Foundation, International Fellowships Program (IFP)

Fellowships target exceptional individuals, with academic talent and community leadership experience, from marginalized populations in developing nations. Fellows are drawn from social groups outside metropolitan centers that, historically, have had limited access to higher education.
Type of study: Post-baccalaureate degree directly enhancing professional knowledge, career skills, and leadership capacity in a discipline or field corresponding to the Foundation's areas of endeavor.

Oxford Undergraduate Scholarship

Funding for undergraduate study to participate in Reach Oxford Scholarship at the University of Oxford in UK.

Field(s) of study: All undergraduate subjects except medicine.
Eligibility: This scheme is only suitable for candidates of the highest academic ability who have outstanding examination results.

Provisions: University and college fees, full grant of living expenses, return flight to the UK at the start and end of the course.
Application deadline: October 15, 2010 / February 25, 2011.

You must apply to Oxford Undergraduate Program by October 15, 2010. If successful you can apply for Reach Oxford from January 2011. The application deadline will be confirmed in autumn 2010, and the application form will be available to download from the website in January 2011.
